Girls Soccer Loses to Lowell, 3 - 2

LOWELL, MA. -
For the second year in a row the Dracut Girls Soccer team loses to Lowell at under the light.
Both teams played a scoreless first half before Jen Fontaine attack early scoring her first goal at the 37 minute mark of the second half. The goal was assisted by captain Kacie Mcglasson.
"Lowell had nothing to lose in this game and came out hard. I knew this was going to be a tough game because Lowell has been playing well of late." head coach Wayne Currie said."
Lowell tie the game at 1 - 1 before Fontaine responded again with her second goal to give the Middies a 2 - 1 lead.
Lowell got on the board again to tie the game at 2 -2 and took the lead for good on a great shot from the right side of the field.
The Middies outshot Lowell 23 - 17, and outcornered them 3 - 1. Sophomore Keeper Michaela Anthony played for 3/4 of the game and made 4 saves. Freshman Jennifer Cole substituted for Anthony and made 3 saves and allowed two goal.
The Middies will return to action Saturday night at Chelmsford. The varsity will play at 7:00 p.m and the JVs willplay at 5:30 p.m.
